I installed recessed lighting in my attic and I put fiberglass insulation around them and on top of them. They are I.C. rated. Will this be a problem? Possibly a fire hazard?

I also did this on by bath lights/fans. They are housed in a large square metal box.

These lights are not in use yet due to the fact that I am still working on the dryall.

Thanks for the help.

IC Lights (as opposed to that great Pittsburgh beer IC Lite) are rated to be in contact with insulation, including being covered by it.

As far as the fan/light is concerned, I'm not so sure. Were there any instructions with the fan/lights that mentioned insulation. Perhaps the manufacturer has a web site & you can ask them.
