Electrical Qustion. I have a laundry room in between a garage and family room. I have 2 lights that I want to control with 2 3 way switches. I ran new 12-2 wire from the box (which has a 20 AMP breaker attached to it) into the room. It first goes to the washing machine. From there it goes to my first overhead light then to the next oe=verhead light. Then it goes to the first 3 way switch. These are all connected with 12-2. From the first 3 way switch to the second 3 way switch I ran 12-3. Both switches operate. They both turn on and off the lights. My problem is that when the lighs are on one light runs a full brightness but the other one is very dull. Is my problem amps. I am using 15 AMP switches 120 Volt.

Thanks

First the code limits the use of the 20 amp circuit that serves the washing machine receptacle to only serve receptacles in that room. You are not suppose to have lighting on it.

However, that is not your problem.

I don't know what you have done wrong, but I suspect that the lights are wired in series.

Here is the type of wiring that you have.

Except that it is only one light.

Wire power to the first light and then the switch leg to the first 3-way.

Then run a 2nd cable from the first light to the 2nd.

At the first light the cable to the 2nd light will be connected black to fixture black and white to fixture white.
