My garage had painted treated pressed plywood walls for 10 yrs, no problem. Last spring I covered them with lightweight spackling for a stucco effect and painted them. Ever since I have moisture on everything. I wanted to make it into a room, but can't put furniture out there. The cement floor feels damp. Is it the stucco; there have been no other changes. Can't the walls "breathe" now? Should I sand that all off?

Hi hartsuzy,

It's hard to tell what's going on. Sure, I could see how you'd lean towards thinking that the current 'finish job' has affected the moisture level.

Try putting a dehumidifier in there to see if that helps. It may work enough to let you complete the job. This is better than taking a chance in that the 'finish job' from last year is the cause.

My best to ya and hope this helps.
