I would like to paint my hardwood floor in my office. Has anyone tried this and does it work well with a rolling chair.

You would need to sand the floor first to remove all wax residues, and to provide a mechanical bond or "tooth" for the new paint.

Then vacumn four or five times, and use a tac clothe to get the rest of the dust up.

Use a polyurethene floor paint. The only paint tougher is an epoxy type, but this would be very odiferous for you. RESPIRATION GEAR REQUIRED.

Give it two or three coats as specified on the label and let it cure over a weekend to get tough.

But you would be better off using a protection pad under the office chair.

Excellence is its own reward!

In addition to the sanding you will need to wipe the foor down with paint thinner to remove the wax as sanding will not do it alone.

The paint needs to be a oil based urethane floor paint.

Be sure to open your windows while doing all this as the fumes will be strong.
