Greetings,

Whatis the best way to remove ceramic wall tiles (which by the way are really on good!!)?

I'm updating the kitchen, want to take the old tiles down and put up new ones.

Help!!!!!!

Hi Lighthousedude,

Well, it depends what they're attached to. If it's drywall, remove the drywall too. It's not worth your time trying to remove the tile AND preserve the drywall. Drywall is simply a sandwich of paper and plaster. And the tile's glue will REALLY rip at the paper!

If it's concrete backerboard, you'll need a chisle and a hammer. Just pretend you're sculpturing. After that, remove the screws and reinstall a finished wall (or new backerboard for your new tile.) Again, it's not worth preserving.
