I just had my basement finished all except for carpet. I want to install berber and would like a cushiony pad that is moisture resistant over the concrete floor. Most installers are pushing the "berber II" rebond pad. I'm told rubber padding is softer and more moisture resistant. Any suggestions or experience?

yes, I did the same thing. but first put down plastic then the padding i think I used 6mil plastic. they use the same stuff for vapor barriors in walls to keep water out.
