I am remodeling our bathroom. The tile above the tub was installed about 1980. I was told the best way to remove the old tile is to use heat. I did a trial run and removed four or five tile using my heat gun. They have to be quite hot before the adhesive will let go.
However after removing the tile I felt giddy and naseous. Now my question is would the adhesive used under the tile create toxic fumes when heated or was it just what I had for lunch. Don't tell my wife.
