Has any one, out there, heard about class action suit against mobile home manufacturers, who used sawdust particle board for flooring?

my mobile home, in fla, was built with sawdust particle board flooring in 1971, by outfit called parkwood ; the flooring got wet and either crumbled and / or collapsed under tenants' weight . i spent close to $3000 replacing it,my self, with 3/4 inch plywood! V

very difficult ripping out flooring under walls enough to get ply wood under wall edge

flooring just fell thru to ground! in small particles

board particles was glued with water soluble cement/glue

When did this happen? Recently? the mobile home is 35 years old. If I am not mistaken, alot of mobile homes have those type of materials as subfloor. Mobile homes are generally not built to withstand the test of time like regular homes are. Considering the fact that the floor has lasted 35 years, you should probably consider yourself lucky.

yeh,

maybe i am lucky, nobody got hurt falling thru crumbling flooring. This particle board is the main flooring, definitely, not subflooring . Only thing over particle board was carpeting. kitchen flooring had been replaced by previous owner , apparently they had had water problems, too.

Generally, in florida, most housing is/

are mobile homes.

. When people retire, they should not be confronted with flooring crumbling away into nothing! People in that area with Parkwood housing have had a problem with flooring when ever flooding occurred.

There was a rumor about a class action suit brought against the Parkwood manufacturers . i was hoping sopme one could shed some light on the paticulars of suit.
