As of January 20, 2026, the company has received at least 15 reports of boiler ruptures that have resulted in both property damage and physical injuries, including minor burns, bruises, lacerations, and a broken wrist.

Because these malfunctions can happen without warning during use, safety officials and the manufacturer ask that consumers immediately stop using the recalled product. The remedy is a free replacement safety boiler cap that has been modified to prevent these valve issues.

The specific model impacted is DUP020WNA, a lightweight, portable, cube-shaped unit. It typically features a white base connected to a black flexible hose and a handheld wand.

Look for the Model Number DUP020WNA and Batch/Date Code 0118-01 through 0425-05 on the rating label located on the bottom of the cleaner. Note that units bearing batch/date codes 0525-XX and later are not part of this recall.
