I have a stucco home, and have a question about exterior wall insulation in a shower/bath, and about the blown in insulation that I have.
First, in my master bathroom, 2 of the three walls to the shower/tub are exterior. The longest wall in the shower/tub has a recessed soap dish that was inserted into the fake marble surface the builder installed.
Well, long story short, the soap dish fell out, and we found absolutely no trace of any insulation in between the studs, for this wall. I can reach into the wall and touch the black paper they put up prior to putting on the styrofoam.
Shouldnt there be insulation in that wall?
Second question - I was crawling around our attic, and found that very few of our interior walls have any kind of covering - insulation - between the drywall of the wall, and the hot attic. I understand that we didnt pay extra for insulation in each interior wall (for sound), but shouldnt there be something covering the tops of the walls? I can reach down in the walls, from the attic, and feel the cool air.
