Existing opening between dining room and living room needs french doors: How do I measure? There is a finished 5" panel: Do I remove it to measure and install door jam? Is HOME DEPOT a good place to buy? Any warnings for pitfalls would be appreciated. I NEED HELP!

Hi Poochie,
You should be able to measure from "panel to panel". Give these dimensions to the people at Home Depot and see what they have to offer in that size range. You may or may not want a threshold beneath the doors. It's really up to you. You'll also need to install stops in the opening that will keep the doors from falling all the way through the opening. Once you have the doors get back to me at the website and I will help you through the ordeal ......Mark Hammond
