My Husband recently spayed a cedar ceiling with polyurethane and the overspray got on my hardwood floor... I lightly went over the floor with mineral spirits then used a hardwood cleaner about a half hour later to go over the mineral spirits, now the floor don't look as shiny as before... Should I have not put mineral spirits on it? What can I do to bring it back to its original look?

The mineral spirits may have affected the finish. It could also be a film left by the cleaner.
The spirits may have loosened up residues left by old cleaners also.
Also could be the mist from the poly
Thanks David
