Hi!

I have an attached garage (fire rated) door to the interior where there are gaps between door stop and the door panel (http://www.mdteam.com/how-to-install-weather-tapes.php). The distance between the door edges and the frame do seem consistent.

The gaps should be slightly larger than 1/4", as the usual smoke seals that I can find (1/4" height) still leaves a gap.

Is it better to add more (thicker) smoke/regular weatherstrip to seal the air spaces or adjust the door? Adjusting the door seems to be hard because of the pre-drilled steel frame and the fire rated steel panel door; difficult to make small adjustments.

Thanks!
