Hi; Can you tell me how to use a STANLEY speed square, its like 7" x 7" x 10", I am trying to find an angle on another board so i can set my craftsman miter box. I just don't know how to use one to read angles. sorry!

If you look at the speed square...the 90 degree corner says cut out says hip val, one common rafters and the outside edge is angles.

set the pivot on one end of your line...line up with your line on the 90 degree side and read the scale on the outside edge.

Better way is with a bevel/false square.
