My home was built in the 1960's. A couple of years ago we discovered that our walls were made up of drywall, horizontal 2x6's, studs, horizontal 2x6's then drywall again. It's not just the exterior walls that are constructed like this, it's every wall in the house! (no wonder my stud finder never worked!) Has anyone else heard of this technique?
