I'm stumped. I want to hang crowm moldings and replace base moldings in my brick house but the problem is some of the walls seem to have been smeared with cement and then hand plastered. My house is about 60 years old and is a row house with party walls on both sides. I dont understand how I would nail into this and have the moulding stay. I found some crown molding in my house that were put up with what looks like spikes not nails. How could I do this? I've heard of glueing up moldings, is that something to think about? Would a nailer (battery or air) be of use? Please help I'm fustrated.
Thanks,
Joe
