I would look at a old video Bob Vila made I think after leaving this old house about using Shipping Containers that are move on land by Tractor Trailers & shipped on Large Container Ships.to transport goods worldwide.

They were showing how the Shipping Containers can be converted into homes that can withstand Large Tornados.

I think they welded the Containers to seversl steel beams buried deep into a concrete base at an angle in the ground to keep the Container connected to the ground. They showed windows & doors that can with stand Tornados to I think a F4 or F5 Tornado, but I am not sure.

We hope that Bob Vila would do a Public Service to donate some of the Tapes or DVDs on building these Container Structures in Florida and locate suggested Tornado Building Codes in the USA.

I think Bob Vila should contact a current Major Television Network about these Container Homes that can have an external shell of a building up quickly with the Windows & Doors that can withstand severe Tornados.
The Weather Channel is looking for any information on buildings that could withstand the Tornados that would help Joplin.
