Tried to select a dim lightbulb appropriate for the situation - don't have that icon available.

Maglite about 10 years old now, big red D cell unit. It doesn't put out anywhere near the light it did when new. I replaced the bulb with the same halogen lamp number, and have changed batteries often. Almost ready to toss it but hate to throw away a nice aluminum flashlight - at least it looks good!

Any comments or advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Pugsathome - hi, what does the lens look like? Is it yellowing, scratched, or anything like that? Is there any rust inside, especially down at the bottom where the spring & storage cap are at?

I had one of those lights as well - mine died because the wiring to the switch finally gave out. I now have another one that I keep in the garage.

The new ones aren't all that you shouldn't feel bad if you do have to dispose of it because it just won't put out the light it used to. Good luck! Jim D/West Point, VA
