Does anyone know how to remove old caulking from between the grooves of brick? Windows and doors and garage molding have been replaced and the remnants of the old caulking remain in places. I hesitate to use a wire brush or any other mechanical device. Any ideas would be welcome.

I have seen a caulk removal product that claims to soften and remove some types of caulk -- in the big chain store. I haven't tried it. It might help you.

Scraping with a stiff putty knife, wire brushing, etc. is the best solution. Try a small test area first in an inconspicuous area. The solvents that soften the caulking only make it spread into other areas when you try to remove it. Do not use chemicals.
