I had my fence stained today with "Superior" waterbased stain. To my dismay, the contractors also managed to spill this stain on my concrete driveway. They appeared to have tried to clean it by hosing it down with water. Well, it seemed to have pushed it all over instead of getting rid of it. I now have a significantly stained concrete driveway. Is there any hope of cleaning this off at this point? Any suggestions for cleaning? Need to understand the options when I address this with the contractor!

Thanks!

I'm not a painter... just build decks, but try TSP (Trisodium phosphate).. always in an inconspicuous place first though. I've had good luck with it in the past, and you probably have some in the cupboard?

Usually lacquer thinner will remove the stain if caught soon enough. It will need to be used with a stiff brush--not wire brush!

Good luck!
