We had Medeira color installed and hate it. It looks purplish instead of the deep red the sample showed. Is there any way to darken the Trex? We also have those dark spots caused from inside the product. If we could darken the Trex, it would not be so noticable.

The "dark" spots is actually mold. Yes mold. I've been dealing with mine since installation in 2005.
