Hi,
We bought Duravit Starck 1 toilet, an European toilet. Our plumber doesn't know how to install it on to our standard American drain. It came with 3 tubings (pipes) in different shapes. Is there an adaptor? We finished the flooring already, so we'd like to avoid digging a hole to change the drain system. I don't think our building even allow that. Please help!

Many forth world countries sell all kinds of so called plumbing fixtures that do not meet the minimum of plumbing code standards.
The ASTM, ASSE, ANSI , ADA , FS, CS, BOCA , ICBOBO ,SBCCI, PHCC, ICBC are various codes to protect the health of the people (not to mention AWWA) to protect the potable water supply from a non approved device that can cause all kinds of water borne diseases to enter the potable water supply do to a lack of vacuum breakers and other safe guards.
If I was called to court as an expert witness and a plumber installed any device not listed in the local, state and or national code I would hang him / her out to dry (nothing personal I just get paid a lot to do this) .
Being a licensed master plumber means we have certain guide lines to follow and the codes are a plumbers bible.
If anyone gets sick from lack of proper protection afforded by a code approved fixture /appliance then the installer is accountable plus the person who supplied said devices.
Codes are set up for protection of people in spite of themselves trying to contaminate the structures they abode in.
If a handyman installed it I would then say they are not licensed or have the formal plumbing training to install certain devices and dabbling in plumbing without the benefit of a masters license in many civilized states is called a misdemeanor where several folks in NYC found out by way of a $5,000 fine first offence and possible jail time if the plumbing performed was life threatening like an illegal hook up to the drinking water system.
We did not attend a 10,000 and 744 hr class room studies for no reason.
There is a reason for the madness of attending an approved apprenticeship to become a journeyman mechanic.
