Plumbing Gurus,

I am greatly worried at the small

dampy area of the carpet.

The location is downstairs, adjacent

to common bathroom (out side the bathroom) and on the way leading to

other rooms.

The area is small would say 12cms length and 1cm breadth. The appears

dampy floor beneath the sponge layer

below the carpet. The nails and the wooden rail seems a bit dark and ofcourse dampy.

Can someone please take to advise me

on how to proceed and what would

it typically cost?

What is a cost effective way to locate

the leak? I am in TX.

Thanks in advance!

Pardon me for my ignorance :) But have

been googling relentlessly.

The wall that is shared by the bathroom

has some dampness and a little mold

formation outside.

does this by any chance, can I rule out

slab leak?

What is a good way to find out. I am

calling couple of plumbers in the area

to inspect.

A Q: would thermal imaging or infrared

technology be any better?

Thanks again!
