Do all AC pipes sweat? What I mean is the outside pipes connecting to the condenser. I've noticed that I have one pipe that is connected to a close (~10 ft) unit that is very cold and sweats quite a bit. The other pipe on the 2nd unit that is the furthest from the blower/evaporater (~60 ft) is not very cold and doesn't sweat at all.

Does this mean that the non-sweating pipes may not have sufficient coolant in them? Or is it typical for this kind of arrangement?

On humid summer days the suction line will sweat. It's like taking a glass of Ice water outside and the same thing happens. The other unit should also be cool and sweatting. If it seems to cool ok, it may only need a-little refrigerant....

Shouldn't these pipes should have some inslulation on them? Especially one as long as described.

Rpxlex.... I know this one is for me... Yes,...the pipes should be insulated. Especially in the attic if that's where it runs, but I think he is talking about outside just before it connects to the Condenser.....
