Saw a great program on HGTV about painting textured wallpaper for an elegant dining room ceiling. Any helpful hints? Any problems install light fixtures through the wallpaper? I'd love to get in contact with someone who has tried this. Thanks!

Three hints.....hanging paper on a ceiling is tough -
Make sure you have help.
Size the ceiling well - it will make placement of the paper easier.
When you are done and the paper is dry - fill the seams with latex caulk before you paint - the seams will disappear!

You should check and see what the manufacture reccomends for painting the paper and for hanging it also as they can all be different. that way if you have any trouble they willstand behind it.
Thanks! Actually, on the show, they painted the wallpaper prior to attaching to ceiling. Any comments on this? Wouldn't it be easier to paint before hanging?
I've only done a little wallpapering, but painting it first (before getting it wet with water/paste) sounds nuts to me. What kind of paint did they use, and where did they put the paper to apply the paint and then let it dry?
It might look great, but it sounds like it would be a terribly difficult job for several people working together to get the paper on the ceiling properly without damaging it, especially because it would be heavy from the additional weight of the paint.
