I own a late 1800's Eastlake/Stick Style Victorian. The base boards were replaced and are around 8" high but the shoe molding was left off. I want to add shoe molding but I am not sure what size to use to stay with the period of the house. Can you please tell me what size shoe molding was used in late 1800/ early 1900 Victorian Homes?

Check out any text on victorian houses and you will see the moldings used...many of the standard moldings of today can be used..they just had different names back then......Check out the Victorian House Book by Robin Guild or America's Painted Ladies (Viking)
