We are adding laminate flooring to our hall, but don't want to use a threshold to join it to a room that already has laminate flooring. Is there any way to glue a custom strip between two sections of laminate flooring--or is there another option aside from a threshold that would allow us to join the two floors evenly?

- connecting laminate flooring without using threshold
no you need a laminate doorway T or threshold transition that connects two areas of laminate flooring together ... laminate flooring needs their connecting threshold at through doorways for proper expansion and contraction.
The only exception is for some closet doorways because of their small size that will not expand and contract as much as larger areas would.
