When it comes to kitchen faucets, few companies have earned as much trust as Moen. The brand’s reputation for lasting durability, thoughtful design, and competitive pricing is precisely why the BobVila.com team has tested and reviewed models like the touchless Arbor MotionSense and the gorgeous Arbor gooseneck in the last few years alone. It’s also why, when Moen introduced its SwivelControl technology in two new faucets, the Skiles and Ronan, plus a very affordable and DIY-friendly replacement wand, we took notice.

One Top-of-the-Line Technology, Two Distinct Looks

Moen’s new Skiles and Ronan pulldown faucets both feature the brand’s SwivelControl system, which makes them functionally identical but slightly different in terms of aesthetics, spout height, and spout reach. With the SwivelControl system, you can use the 360-degree rotating wand to direct water wherever you need it, including into corners that a standard fixed-head faucet can’t reach. Once you have it positioned where you want it, the wand stays in place for hands-free convenience and automatically returns to its docking station when you turn the water off. Both the Skiles and Ronan use Moen’s Power Clean technology to deliver 50 percent more cleaning power than standard Moen spray heads, and installation is straightforward in either one- or three-hole sinks thanks to the brand’s Duralock quick-connect design.

Given both models’ convenient functionality and reasonable price, the only real decision to make between the two comes down to your personal style. The Skiles has cleaner lines for a more modern look, and the Ronan features a few curves for a more traditional appearance. Both are available in chrome, spot-resistant stainless steel, matte black, or bronze to pair with your existing kitchen hardware.

Already Own a Moen? You Can Still Upgrade

If you already own a Moen pulldown faucet, such as the Arbor, Brantford, or Align, and want to upgrade to SwivelControl, Moen offers a very reasonably priced and DIY-friendly wand kit. Once installed, you get the same 360-degree SwivelControl functionality, Power Clean spray technology, and automatic redocking as the Skiles and Ronan. It’s WaterSense certified to help protect against wasted water (and higher monthly bills) without impacting performance, but since it doesn’t work with swing-arm models, it’s worth checking compatibility before purchasing.

Any Way You Slice It, SwivelControl Is Worth It

Whether you’re replacing an aging faucet or simply looking to get more out of the one you already have, Moen’s SwivelControl lineup is a smart, practical upgrade. The Skiles and Ronan bring innovation to an everyday fixture, and the retrofit wand kit makes that same technology accessible to current pulldown owners at a very reasonable price. Given Moen’s popularity with our team of testers, any of these options would be an excellent choice.
