I have a AC Trane system that is 13 years old. My heat is from 2 sources: 1. outside wood burnr 2. Oil furnace backup. I can't cut and split wood anymore since my shoulder surgery so I am giving up the wood burner and need a heat source. Being that my AC unit is nearing its life's end I was thinking about just switching over to the alternative energy source which is electricity. I was looking at the new Bryant Evolution Extreme heat pump. The Temperature range is as low as 17F. I live in northeasterm PA and was thinking that this heat pump is the way to go over any other fossil fuel heat soucre. I would switch to natural gas but the connection is a mile away. So my only option is oil or propane. Your thoughts?
