Can you please provide your recommendation of what type of wood / laminate / etc. that I can install on my outdoor patio ceiling?

I want the look of a wood floor like tongue and grove but not beadboard. The ceiling will be installed outside in the Northeast (Philadelphia area) so it needs to stand up to significant temperature changes, but it will not be exposed to rain / sun as it will be installed under a shingle roof but the sides of the patio are open air.

Firstly you need to find a good quality of laminated ply sheets which can be better choice if you buy a natural laminates ply for outdoor are it is best provides for external area.

There is a tongue and groove board available. I believe it is either 1x6 or 1x8
The edges are beveled and is usually pine or fir. Some lumber yards will also carry this in cedar.
Hope this helps
