I want decorative concrete in our basement, but my wife refuses to allow anyone to use a grinder in her house. She is afraid of dust and cancer and all that. She says the cats are too sensitive for even fine dust. Is there a proper way to prepare the floor without grinding it first?

My wife said the same thing..No DUST! I told our concrete contractor this and he said he would use a product called perfectprimer. It’s like a paint that goes down on top of the old glue and paint. After that dried he did a beautiful trowel down finish concrete overlay that we really love. It’s been down a year now and we are thrilled with how the job came out and that he could do his work without an creating any dust.
