I recently purchased a child's toy whose battery panel on back is fastened with a screw. When I went unfasten the screw to put in new batteries, the screw merely spun in place: it neither tightens nor loosens. It's obvious that either the screw is stripped or the hole in which it's placed is stripped. However, regardless of what I've tried, the screw will not come out.

Any suggestions on how I could remove this screw? Thanks in advance.

I dont know if you like buying tools but craftsman has a new tool out that removes stripped screws. You get 3 bits and it is $19.99. I got this for my dad for xmas and it has worked well so far
