I have 4 painted antique doors that I am taking back to natural finish. The first 3 were laquer finishes that were painted over. A heat gun did the trick - with a bit of stripper after before sanding.

Then the fourth and final door - isn't it always the last one?

I started in with the heat gun and then stripper. Apparently the entire door has been sealed with filler to make for a better paint finish. I need it gone - will stripper do the trick - or is there some other product that will help lift the filler so I don't spend 2 weeks and a 1000 sheets of sandpaper. I know I can't escape sanding / but I would like to expedite things
