Hi All,

I live in Wyoming where cedar and stains are very common. Our house has a solid color stain on it (dark brown) and also our deck.

Everyone has told us that you can go light over dark, and it seems it is so as I just put 2 coats of a tan over our deck and it looks pretty good EXCEPT those darn spaces between the deck boards. Do I really have to get on my hands and knees and paint these by hand or is there some fancy tool that would work! My back is killing me just thinking about it!

thanks Laura

Depending on the type of stain.

You can put it in a spray bottle that is clean of course, and spray it into the gaps. Then backbrush the puddled stain in lightly with you brush.
