I installed a new faucet in my bathroom sink on sat., losing water pressure in there, what did i do wrong??
Supernanny - hi, you probably didn't do anything wrong. You probably had to turn off the water supply (hot and cold) to the sink to do the work. Just the simple act of doing that could cause old scale & gunk in the water lines to break free, and that stuff is now starting to clog the aerator that might be mounted in the water outlet end of the faucet. If you have an aerator, simply remove it, clean it, and then run the water (both hot and cold) for a minute or two through the faucet without the aerator on the faucet to see if the lines clear up.
If the faucet doesn't have an aerator, the gunk may be getting caught inside the workings of the faucet itself, e.g., where the handles connect to open and close the flow of water. Your instructions that came with the faucet should show you an exploded view so you can see how water flows through it from the supply lines to the outlet. That's the path where the gunk would be clogging. You may have to do a little disassembly to get to the gunk - good luck and Happy Holidays! Jim D/West Point, VA
