I put cherry pits down my disposal and now it is hopelessly clogged. Here are a list of things I have come to discover about my &^%*(%$ sink. There is a reason everyone says it's everything but the kitchen sink I am about to throw it out the window.

The clog in beyond the trap.

We took the trap out so the water can drain.

Pipe after the trap is sodered to the pipe and has rust spots so we don't want to risk using a snake.

Plunging is causing the water to go into the dishwasher.

Pipe of Disposal is cross threaded and leaks.

You can cut the soldered pipe and replace the pipes using a rubber boot/stainless steel clamps (Fernco)

And use a Shop Vac to attempt to remove the blockage.....

"...measure once.....cut twice....throw that one away and cut a new one...."

I live in an apartment so I don't the landlord would like me doing that. I know it is the landlords job to fix this but I am behind on my rent and don't want the extra aggravation.
