I just moved to a new house and the master bedroom had fabric covering on the walls. So far I have been able to remove the coverings, but there is glue stuck to the walls. There also appears to be some black tar. Is there any EASY way I can remove this so I can paint the walls?

Have you tried warm water on the paste? Try a spot and let it sit a few minutes then see if it wipes off. You could try mineral spirits on the black adhesive, if its not too thick. See what that gets you and post back with your results.

Is there a bunch of glue or just a little? Is the glue soft or hard? If it's hard, you might have to sand it -- but I would only want to do that if there's not too much of it.
