I have a good bit of wallpaper to remove, so I am considering purchasing the low priced ($50-$75) Wagner wallpaper removal steamer. Do those work well? Would I be better off renting a commercial-type unit by the day? I am more interested in ease than cost. Thanks.

Hi! I worked with both rental commercial type and one that a friend of mine bought, and the rental steamer works a lot better. It is bulkier since it's made of cast iron and has a heavy steel steam plate, but it works a lot better. Since the plate is steel, it absobs the heat from the steam and it goes faster. The one my friend had had a plastic nozzle and did not work very well. I hope this helps you.
