My husband and I recently purchased an 84-year old house with plaster walls. We have a few questions:
1. We'd like a paint that will highlight the nice texture of the old paster. Do you have any suggestions on finish?
2. We want a quality paint that is no more than $40 per gallon (this seems to include most brands). Do you have any suggestions on paint brand?
Here are the answers we've come up with so far:
1. A matte finish
2. BenMoore, RL, or Behr
Behr seems to be the best value for money based on what I've read thus far, but we're willing to pay a little more if we can see the results. We're leaning toward BenMoore based on reviews we've read, but if someone with expertise/experience could help us out, we'd appreciate it greatly. There seems to be substantial disagreement on the merits and flaws of these brands, so if you could point to specific costs/benefits, that would help us. I know that no paint is perfect.
Thanks for your help,
