How do i pull up the carpet in my home to get to the nice hardwood underneath successfully?
make a slice with a utility knife at a corner, use a prybar to lift it a little and start pulling.
it might be more manageble if you cut it into strips.
use extreme care and caution not to cut yourself with the knife or on the tackless (strips) if a stretched install.
if its glued down it will be alot more difficult.
if its cushion-backed carpet that has been glued, you will need a flooring razor scraper with lots of blades to get the cushion up.
again, use great care as the tools are sharp !
