Hi, I hear people using the term 'TLC' a lot but what is 'TLC' stand for? Term is used in context of 'the house needs some TLC'. Thanks.

TLC, as in "Tender Loving Care".

In Real-estate speak, it's often equivalent to "fixer upper" or "handyman special". In other words, watch out!

But if you're handy, and enjoy working on homes, it could be for you. Whatever you do, pay close attention to the NEIGHBORHOOD the house is in--or you could be throwing good money after bad.

And even if you do it yourself, it can still cost a surprising amount to remodel.

Tread carefully. Know what you're getting into. But it can be a great thing! And good luck!

Regards,
