I am desperately looking for an exterior color scheme to make my raised ranch look...well...less like a raised ranch. If anyone has any good suggestions they would be welcome.

We have a full front rr, that means the garage is on the side instead of the front. There are two bay windows to the right of the front door and the front door is a double door, and very green. We were thinking that a bright color might help us out a bit. We also want to do the gables, door and windows a contrasting color.

Hi,

Try :

http://www.bobvila.com/DesignTools/ExteriorDesigner/ExteriorDesigner.html

And click on Launch paint designer, Try First, then Exterior paint and a similar house to yours.

Then under the tabs, Gallery of Colors you can choose type such as Federal, Victorian etc.

Bob's paint line has been discontinued but you can get the same colors tru Weatherbeater or Easy Living paint at Sears

Good luck!

unfortunately they have no Raised ranch option on the program. Very unfortunate, since I really need to see how the paint accentuates certain features of the home.
