Torx-type screwdrivers?
I'm looking for a set of screwdrivers that has a Torx-shaped tip (i.e., star-shaped), but with a hole in the middle. Two questions: 1) What are they called? 2) Who sells them?
They are for 'tamper proof torx' screws.
A google search will show many supliers. Xcelite is one supplier
i sell this product. www.toolcentral.com
Spot,
What you're looking for are what's called "Security Torx" wrenches. They're pretty hard to find. That type of torx screw is used just for that purpose.......for keeping people from taking them out. As a computer field engineer, we had to have them specially ordered for us and they were a controlled item. Regular Torx wrenches without the hole can be purchased at ***** , or other hardware stores.....Tom
if you know what sizes you need, let me know, and i will send you the cost factor. i have these in sets also . They dont come in screwdriver series, they are in 1/4 socket and 3/8 in styles. you can also get them in bit style that will fit into a bit holding screwdriver I have both types. toolcentral.com
