Help! I just bought a house that is a split level ranch with a walk out basement! Unfortunately the walk out is right into a railroad tie retaining wall! And...it is falling down- towards the house! This wall is apx 12-15'tall. The front side of the wall is my front yard! (Which is quite small). I have an acre of land, but most of it is side and back yard. It is all sloping, but this is the worst part of it. Can anyone give me some suggestions! Thanks!

Unfortunately, on the surface of it, it sounds like you're in need of a new wall, and a major wall at that. Your best bet would be to contact a local contractor in your area that can handle removing and rebuilding a wall of that size while shoring up the existing slope when the old wall is removed.
