I put my shower/tub into shower mode by pulling down a ring on the faucet, right where the water comes out. Now suddenly it won't work - I pull down the ring but it doesn't stay down-- it springs back up into place, and the water won't come out of the shower head. Is this something I can easily fix (if so, how?) or do I need to call a plumber?
Thank you!!

Simple:
The best thing to do is to remove the tub spout. Typically its either a screw on or held on by an allen screw. If you look on the underside of the tub spout, if there is an opening, then its an allen wrench. You will have to remove the screw and it should slide off the pipe. If it doesn't have an opening, its a screw off type. Then you will have to remove it by turning it counterclockwise. Tben take the tub spout to the hardware store and get a replacement. They can match the one you bring in.
Good Luck
