Howdy HK and friends!
Regarding our natural gas boiler (circa 1968 GPH American Standard, Hydronic):
Could you please provide tips on maintenance, such as:
1. TYPE of oil to use on the pump (it's a Bell & Gossett booster)
2. How OFTEN to oil the pump - it runs a lot when weather gets to zero and below!
3. Any other ongoing maintenance recommendations for homeowners? - such as should I be looking at gauges, dials, etc?
I am NOT trying to avoid professional servicings! I just want to keep it in top shape on an ongoing basis.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, HK!
I probably have been over-oiling it a bit (with the oil that was left when we moved in about 6 months ago).
Hopefully it will still last a lot longer!
thanks for your very quick response!
As for pressures, I'll look at that page and try to figure it out...but I am comfortable leaving that part to the pros!
