We have turned our garage into a bedroom and bath. Since it is a ranch house, we ran the heating ductwork up above from the basement unit through the attic and down into the rooms. The garage floor is a slab so we couldn't go through the floor. What is the best way that we can increase the heat into these rooms without tearing up the concrete slab? We are having trouble getting the heat to be blown into these rooms.

If you ran those ducts thru an unheated attic space, did you insulate around them when you installed them? If not, a lot of heat may be escaping into your attic rather than reaching the addition. Adding insulation around this ductwork is cheap & easy to do.
From your description, it sounds like you might have installed the heat registers into the ceiling of this addition. Since heat rises, registers in the ceiling are much less effective than ones near the floor (especially in a room far away from the furnace blower). Running a duct thru a wall and down toward the floor, and moving the heat register there might make quite a bit of difference in the feel of the room. But this can involve a fair amount of work to do.
