I'm new to this board, but I have a very simple question. I'm interested in installing hardwood floor, but it's hard for me to understand all the different grades and types. I have can get a good deal on an installation with "Cabin Grade" hardwood floors. Can someone please help me as to the dangers/pitfalls/disadvantages of this grade? Or even tell me where this falls within the normal product line of a manufacturer? Thanks.

Obviously posting for future users--
Cabin grade is the cheapest grade, with a lot of variability in the grain and quality of the wood, AND a lot of shorter board lengths. Select and Premium grades have a more even grain with few, if any pits and include many longer boards. If this is for a living room, etc in your house, always spend a little more money and do it right the first time.
