I acid stained and sealed my concrete floors. (They look phenomenal!) As anyone familiar with the process knows, the concrete sealant is good to seal the concrete, but not good as a finish coat. It scuffs easily. Moreover, the sealant is mostly to adhere and seal the concrete from below, not protect it from everything from above. (Somewhat like paint primer, but stronger.)

I want to apply a finish coat of wax or some other finish to protect the sealant and maintain a nice shine that will add depth to the concrete acid stain effect. I have considered SC Johnson paste wax and SC Johnson One Step No Buff Wax, but both are made for wood floors. I have also considered Future Floor Finish, but that is designed mostly for tile. There are also specialty concrete finishes, but all of them have non-slip properties, which I don't want (ironically enough). Any suggestions?

FYI, I am considering those two products specifically as an alternative to renting or buying a floor buffer to apply and buff floor wax on the floor. (It is just a one-bedroom condo, not a warehouse supermarket). The main question is thus how they measure up to buffed-on floor wax?

I have products that compete with this company's products, but my products don't put this high gloss on the surface. High gloss seems like what you want. I don't know how long this will last.

Hope that helps.
