Hello,

I am looking for tiles for kitchen backsplash. The tiles will be installed on already existing painted drywall behind the gas stove and sink.

The way we cook, any tiles used for backsplash will be subject to daily dose of steam/oil spray from pressure cooker and frequent spatter of boiling cooking oil from skillet in addition to normal dishwasher detergent and water spray.

Is there any tile material which can stand this kind of usage and still last for several years without getting stained or damaged or discolored? Money is not a consideration but durability is.
